Micro-Needling

Micro-needling involves rolling ultra-fine micro-needles over your skin, to create microscopic punctures in the skin’s surface.

Opening the skin in this way dramatically increases the penetration level of any topical product, increasing its efficacy. The purpose of treatment is to generate new collagen and skin tissue for smoother, firmer, more toned skin. Whilst it can be used by itself, this treatment is particularly beneficial in conjunction with a wide range of our skincare products.

What is the difference between home-use micro-needling & professional micro-needling?

When it comes to micro-needling, the home use treatment works within the layers of the epidermis for enhancing penetration and the results from your regular skincare.

Here at the DrBK Clinic we use Medik8’s Skinrölla Professional, which is available only in clinics and spas. This device has much longer micro-needles which are able to reach the dermis so it can target issues deeper in the skin.

The Skinrölla Professional treatment has significantly enhanced results over the home use system however it is recommended to combine both Skinrölla home use and Skinrölla Professional treatment for optimum results.
