THE DR BK LIFT

The DrBK non-surgical face lift is a combination developed by Dr Khanna of using Botulinum Toxin and Dermal fillers to soften an angular jaw. The lift also looks at improving the appearance of lines and wrinkles around the eyes and nose to mouth area with the use of Botulinum Toxin by minimal, non-surgical injections. Youthful volume to lips, cheeks, chins is also achieved by using Dermal Fillers. All techniques are developed by Dr Khanna and offer immediate results with minimal invasion.

Bruxism is often referred to as the habitual grinding, clenching and often unconscious chewing or sliding action – when the teeth slide back and forth over each other - this can result in headaches, a painful jaw, gum problems and the possibility of tooth enamel being eroded because of the pressure being put on the surface of the teeth which, according to experts, can be 20 times greater than the force used in normal chewing and biting.

People can clench and grind without being aware of it during both the day and night, although sleep-related bruxism is often the bigger problem because it is harder to control.

The cause of it is not completely agreed on but it's thought that stress can be a trigger, whether the teeth are actually misaligned even posture, sleeping habits and diet can play a part.

In addition to this patients will often have over enlarged jaw muscles making their faces appear more square and therefore more masculinized (as below before and after results show below).

LATEST TECHNIQUES

Professor Khanna has developed new techniques using Botox carefully placed at strategic sites in the lower and upper jaw muscles to help relax the muscles.

This DrBk lift will result in a slimmer looking face and enhanced cheek bones after approximately 6 weeks following treatment. The treatment only takes 5 minutes and will typically last 4-6 months.

The treatment can also work for patients who don't have a clenching habit but the results may not be as dramatic
