Singer Sinitta Becomes Cured By Dr BK
"See how DrBK helped Singer Sinitta with a frozen shoulder where she could barely turn her head. Whilst it is well established that Botox can be used in facial rejuvenation and the softening of facial wrinkles, it is also possible to use it in condition..."
Botox treatment for muscular spasms and head, neck, shoulder or back pain
Whilst it is well established that Botox can be used in facial rejuvenation and the softening of facial wrinkles, it is also possible to use it in conditions where over activity of muscles create spasms and often intolerable pain.
This is certainly the case for certain types of headaches and jaw pain e.g. for patients that may grind or clench excessively. It is also quite common for patients to suffer from muscle tension in the neck, shoulder and back regions following certain types of strenuous activity or occupational habits e,g. being hunched in front of the computer or simply bad postural habits.
Whilst pain killers, physiotherapy or treatment with a chiropractor may give some relief in certain instances it is quite common for sufferers to have prolonged pain without resolution.
It is possible in many situations like these to have carefully targeted injections of Botox into the affected muscles. This will have the effect of reducing over activity of the muscles and thereby helping to resolve the symptoms. Typically a sufferer can expect to feel results after 1 week to 10 days. This will commonly last 3- 6 months in most cases.
Following a careful assessment to establish the cause and if Botox would be appropriate, the treatment involves a number painless injections taking no longer than 10 minutes to complete.
The cost varies depending on the areas treated but ranges from £300-£800
